You're visiting the online world of Jermaine van Wijhe, that's me! I'm a 27 year design monkey from Haarlem (The Netherlands), loving every pixel for more than ten years now and have a passion for good design/well written markup, photography, (lol)cats and . When I'm not designing I'll probably be writing about design and other stuff, or somewhere outside. Here I present my ideas.
I've been known to dabble in a spot of website design and development and graphic design, and to create the odd digital abstract or typography art piece now and again. Yes, I'm Dutch.
My works speak for me. I proudly present some of my latest works to enjoy you. Every project I do is designed to bring value to my customers and help them to reach their objectives through design thinking…
My blog containing lots of lolcats, Apple related stuff etc which is sometimes (Let's say yearly) worth reading is currently offline.
It will be back soon!

From this point on I'll refer to myself in the third-person, all the trendy creative people are doing it.
Jermaine is an all-round front-end developer, born in '84 and broadcasting live from Haarlem, The Netherlands. He builds steady relationships, hot-ass websites, yummy designs and he looks good doing it!
Jermaine loved to draw as a child, and after his parents bought the first family computer, Jermaine soon transferred his creativity from paper to Paint Shop Pro. He eventually moved onto working with Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, after realizing Paint Shop Pro wasn't the industry standard.
He loves action movies and TV; especially Transformers and Inception, De Wereld Draait Door, Keuringsdienst van Waarde, Formula One and stuff on Discovery Channel. When it comes to music it's all about Deadmau5, Graffiti6, Groove Armada, Lenny Kravitz, Fitz and the Tantrums and Jamiroquai. Oh, he also loves to climb on his mountainbike and hugging his furzilla's Kroepoek and Doerak.

This re-design for Digimo Media, an Amsterdam based direct marketing company embodies their marketing skills in various forms like direct marketing, affiliate marketing and email marketing.
Digimo Media's site is done using HTML5/CSS3 and comes complete with a CMS in the backend (WordPress) and several social media options like Twitter sharing and URL shortening using bit.ly.

Website design for DJ, producer and label owner - of Rhythm Section - Bar le Func showcasing his musical masterpieces, news, gigs and more.

A special campaign to celebrate the birth of Seat's new Copa Ibiza and Copa Altea.

I was approached by event organisation Better and Harder Events to design several event campaigns for the Mug the City event, held in Club 023.
Mug the City is the most famous hardcore related recurring event in Haarlem where many renowned names from the scene like Partyraiser, The Dark Raver, Chosen Few, Tha Playah, Nosferatu and Rheeza can be found behind the wheels of steel.

When you say clubbing in Haarlem, you're talking about Club 023. Club 023's website is running an extremely tweaked WordPress setup using the latest technology to display it's weekly photo album and communicate with it's visitors using social media like Twitter/Facebook.
Club 023 was also Haarlem's first club with a mobile (iPhone) website containing cool gadgets, downloads and location based navigation using Google Maps.
For a few years I was responsible for Club 023's website and all it's event designs.

Van der Valk Hotels & Restaurants and Sparta bicycles wanted a website where Valk customers could enter their unique SMS code and play an oldfashioned game of scratching (built with Adobe Flash). Of course every visitor has won a great prize, from a free cup of coffee to a beautiful electric Sparta ION bike.

Philips Sonicare and DentalView BV combined forces to promote the supersonic Philips toothbrush via narrowcasting channels at dentist's waiting rooms. This nationwide promotion needed a promotional website aimed at dentists and odontologists and was a great succes thanks to the served out flyers. Unfortunately I couldn't find any (digital) copy of them.
Unfortunately this project is offline.

Eci.nl, known for many great deals in books and music sold many copies of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides at a discount. I was responsible for this e-mailcampaign.
Great guy. Really enthousiastic and talented in the field of front-end development. Expert on a deep level of new and inspiring technologies. Good person to work with.

Jermaine can't be stuffed in a "hokje". He is versatile when it comes to his knowledge and experience, not only his designs but the entire front-end part can be his property. Within the team it's very nice to work with him and he always loves a joke. That little extra thing you're looking for as a customer!
